Prof. Dr. med. Eric Albrecht is the President-elect of the European Society of Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine. He is also the Director of the Regional Anesthesia Program at the University Hospital of Lausanne in Switzerland. He holds certifications in Anaesthesia, Intensive Care Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Chronic Pain Medicine. Eric is also board member of the European Society of Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Therapy (ESRA), and member of the PROSPECT working group.
His field of research includes meta-analyses and prospective trials on regional anesthesia, acute postoperative pain, opioid-free anesthesia and sleep apnea syndrome. He is the principal author of more than 180 peer-reviewed articles published in high profile journals and three French-language books. Prof. Albrecht also serves as associate editor for the journals Anaesthesia and Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine.

Clinical and academic interests include perioperative medicine, intensive care, pain medicine, and the application of neuroscience to teamwork and decision-making in high-pressure medical environments.
Dr. med. Isabel Marcolino is Head of the Institute of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at Spital Limmattal, Switzerland, where she also serves as a member of the OR management. She is a board-certified specialist in anaesthesiology and intensive care medicine, as well as an emergency physician and certified OR manager.
With extensive clinical and leadership experience across leading Swiss institutions, she has particular expertise in personalized anaesthesia, bariatric anaesthesia, intensive care mnedicine, and perioperative management. Prior to her current role, she held senior consultant positions at Stadtspital Triemli in Zurich, where she led the division of anaesthesia for obstetrics and gynecology and was responsible for quality and data management.
Dr. Marcolino is actively engaged in education and examination at national and European levels, serving as an examiner for multiple specialist diplomas in anaesthesiology and intensive care. She is also involved in undergraduate medical teaching at the University of Zurich and has contributed to numerous scientific publications, including research articles and book chapters.

Dr Nayeli Schmutz is an anaesthesiologist and intensive care physician. Her research focuses on predicting and preventing postoperative delirium, including developing and validating of the PIPRA risk-prediction model. She has led international validation studies and has additional training in AI and data science from MIT Sloan.
