Congresso svizzero di medicina dello sport e dell'attività fisica (SEMS)

Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. Pascal Bauer ist Facharzt für Innere Medizin, Kardiologie und Angiologie mit Zusatzbezeichnungen in Sportmedizin, Ernährungsmedizin und Notfallmedizin. Er ist an der Medizinischen Klinik I – Kardiologie und Angiologie des Universitätsklinikums Gießen tätig und leitet dort die Bereiche Angiologie, Sportkardiologie und kardiovaskuläre Prävention. 

Seine klinischen und wissenschaftlichen Schwerpunkte liegen in der Sportkardiologie und Sportangiologie sowie der kardiovaskulären Prävention bei Athletinnen und Athleten. In der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Kardiologie war er von 2023 bis 2025 Sprecher der AG 32 Sportkardiologie und ist aktuell Past-Sprecher sowie Nukleusmitglied. Zudem organisiert er die sportkardiologischen Akademiekurse der DGK und ist Mitglied des DGK-Expertengremiums Sportkardiologie.

Actuellement responsable de la chirurgie orthopédique au Kantonsspital Winterthur, je rejoindrai le CHUV à compter du 1er septembre en qualité de médecin adjoint, responsable de la chirurgie reconstructrice du genou.

Je suis titulaire du titre FMH en chirurgie orthopédique et traumatologie de l’appareil locomoteur, membre de la SEMS ainsi que du groupe d’experts Genou de Swiss Orthopaedics. Je suis également auteur et co-auteur de plusieurs publications scientifiques de chapitres de livre dans le domaine de la chirurgie reconstructrice du genou.

Dr Gojanovic is a sports and exercise physician from Lausanne. He has worked at Macolin (Swiss Federal Office for Sport) and Stanford University. Currently he heads health and performance at Hôpital de La Tour’s Swiss Olympic medical center in Geneva. 

He is the president of Sport & Exercise Medicine Switzerland (SEMS), and the editor-in-chief of SEMS journal (www.sems-journal.ch). 

The daily clinical work with patients and athletes fuels his motivation and drive for impactful change in the health and wellbeing of people and athletes alike.

He aims to contribute to the growth of SEM as an essential part of the healthcare system. This includes the increase of the awareness about the role of healthy lifestyles and overall fitness for prevention of sports-related conditions and chronic diseases alike. 

Dr Gojanovic is also an advocate for safe sport and is involved in the development of safeguarding strategies in Swiss sports.

Christoph Gräni, MD, PhD, is a cardiologist and full professor at the University of Bern, Switzerland. He is Director of Cardiac Imaging at Bern University Hospital and leads the specialized Coronary Artery Anomaly Clinic in Bern. He also holds a certificate of competence in sports cardiology. He completed his clinical training in cardiology and cardiac imaging at several hospitals in Switzerland and abroad, including a fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, in Boston, USA. His research focuses on sports-related sudden cardiac death and its underlying causes, particularly cardiomyopathies, myocarditis, and coronary artery anomalies. A major focus of his work is the integration of advanced imaging, invasive physiology, and artificial intelligence for individualized risk stratification in patients with coronary artery anomalies. He has published more than 300 scientific articles in leading journals, including JAMA, JAMA Cardiology, the European Heart Journal, Nature Communications, JACC, and Circulation. He is involved in ICAAC, the international collaborations on coronary artery anomalies, as well as EURO-AAOCA, and is a member of the writing committee of the AATS (American Association for Thoracic Surgery) expert consensus on coronary artery anomalies.

Harald Thune Jørstad, MD, PhD is a senior attending cardiologist and consultant in sports cardiology and preventive cardiology, and leads the Sports Cardiology programme at Amsterdam UMC, Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He chairs the Netherlands Olympic Committee (NOC*NSF) cardiac screening programme and is a ‘High Performance Partner’ of the Dutch Olympic Committee. He serves as an elected member of the Sports Cardiology Nucleus of the European Association of Preventive Cardiology (EAPC) and is former Chair of the Sports Cardiology Section of the Netherlands Society of Cardiology. His clinical and research interests focus on cardiovascular screening of elite athletes, the athlete’s heart, and sports participation in individuals with cardiovascular disease.

Gere Luder ist Physiotherapeut und forscht seit rund 20 Jahren in verschiedenen Projekten zum Thema Hypermobilität und damit zusammenhängende Beschwerden. 2023 hat er sein PhD zum Thema «Krafttraining bei Hypermobilität» an der Vrije Universiteit Brussels (Belgien) abgeschlossen. Er ist aktuell Leiter der Forschung Physiotherapie in der Berner Inselgruppe AG und arbeitet klinisch in seiner eigenen Praxis in Bern, mehrheitlich mit Patientinnen mit Hypermobilität.

PD Dr. med. David Niederseer ist führender Experte für Sport- und Präventivkardiologie mit umfassender internationaler Expertise. Seit November 2023 fungiert er als leitender Arzt für Sportkardiologie und Leiter der Forschung an der Hochgebirgsklinik Davos, Medizincampus Davos sowie als Arbeitsgruppenleiter für Sportkardiologie am Universitätsspital Zürich.

Seine klinische und wissenschaftliche Laufbahn umfasst bedeutende Positionen am Universitätsspital Zürich, wo er unter anderem die kardiologische Rehabilitation leitete und 2022 habilitierte. Nach seiner medizinischen Ausbildung an den Universitäten Innsbruck und Zürich folgte ein Doktortitel in molekularer Medizin sowie ein Executive MSc in Gesundheitsökonomie an der London School of Economics. Zudem absolvierte er ein Studium der Sportwissenschaften an der Universität Innsbruck.

Dr. Niederseer nimmt mehrere Schlüsselpositionen in europäischen Fachgesellschaften wahr, darunter Sekretär der Sportkardiologie-Sektion der European Association of Preventive Cardiology. Auch ist er Vorstandsmitglied der SEMS (Sport & Exercise Medicine Switzerland). Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte umfassen Sportkardiologie, kardiale Rehabilitation, Entzündungsprozesse und metabolische Marker bei Herz-Kreislauf-Erkrankungen. Er ist Autor zahlreicher Publikationen in führenden peer-reviewed Fachzeitschriften.

Mahdi Sareban is a specialist in preventive and sports cardiology and currently serves as Head of the Institute of Sports Medicine and Prevention at the University Clinic Krems, Austria. The institute has been accredited as a Centre for Sports Cardiology by the European Society of Cardiology. Prof. Sareban‘s clinical and research interests focus on cardiovascular adaptation to exercise in endurance athletes and patients with cardiovascular disease. He has extensive clinical and scientific expertise in cardiac imaging and cardiopulmonary exercise testing.

Prof. Dr. med. Arno Schmidt-Trucksäss ist Arzt für Innere Medizin, Sport- und Bewegungsmedizin und Ernährungsmedizin. Er hat eine volle Professur für Sport- und Bewegungsmedizin an der Universität Basel. Zudem ist er Ärztlicher Direktor des Zentrums für Sportmedizin an der Universität Basel. Einer seiner Forschungsschwerpunkte ist die kardiorespiratorische Fitness und körperliche Aktivität sowie deren Zusammenhang und Auswirkungen auf die Gesundheit von Herz, Stoffwechsel und Arterien. Er beschäftigt sich zudem seit langem mit dem gesunden Altern. Bewegung und Sport sind dabei wichtige Pfeiler eines gesunden Lebensstils, die geeignet erscheinen, das Altern zu verlangsamen und frühzeitige Gebrechlichkeit zu vermeiden, indem die Muskulatur und die Herzkreislauf-Fitness erhalten bleiben. Prof. Schmidt-Trucksäss setzt sich dafür ein, Bewegung als Medikament wirksam zur Prävention und Therapie von nicht-übertragbaren chronischen Krankheiten in der Gesellschaft zu etablieren. Er hat zu diesen und anderen Themen breit international publiziert (ORCID 0000-0002-4662-3911), ist im Vorstand der SEMS, von CPX international und der DeGAG sowie Associate Editor von Atherosclerosis.

Philippe M. Tscholl, Orthopaedic Surgeon and Sports Medicine specialist, is Senior Consultant at the Geneva University Hospitals for Knee Surgery and Sports Traumatology, Medical Director of the Swiss Olympic Medical Center, Board member of the IOC medical center Re-FORM (Réseau Francophone Olympique pour la Recherche en Médecine du sport) and of SEMS (education). He is member of several international societies and expert groups around the knee and sports medicine, member of the editorial board of the KSSTA, Cartilage and Translational Sports Medicine journal and author of more than 100 scientific articles around the knee and sports medicine. He is amongst other team physician of the Swiss National Man Football team and of several local teams, and has participated at several European Youth Olympic Festivals as chief medical officer for Switzerland.
