Background
Anaesthesiologists are expected to integrate EEG-neuromonitoring as part of individualised anaesthesia care for an increasingly ageing and vulnerable population. Yet, training and practice opportunities for this technique are still limited and therefore self-reported confidence in the use of these devices for critical decision-making remains low.

Our workshop is tailored to the individual provider’s needs and aims to address this education gap with the goal of changing practice. This is the forth time we offer this workshop as part of Swissanaesthesia.

Structure of workshop
The workshop is a blended learning module (60 minutes of prior self-study, in-person hands-on workshop at the conference). The workshop contains 3x 90 minutes modules, including short input talks and interactive elements as well as hand-on and brains-on workshop stations with small group work. Refreshment breaks (2x 30 minutes) will also serve as an opportunity to connect to other participants and the facilitators in person.

The workshop will be conducted in English, including all material provided. German and French speaking facilitators will be available throughout the workshop to assist.

Who should participate?
Anaesthesiologists (specialists as well as trainees) who seek to provide better patient care by deepening their knowledge and evolving their practical and critical decision-making skills in the context of perioperative neuromonitoring using EEG.
